
Talent Management
Integrate OD aligned the client organization’s human resource and talent pools with its changing strategic objectives, by mapping out the competencies required and the developmental resources needed to achieve these. We then developed an integrated approach to Performance Appraisal and Competency Development. In creating a system for organization-wide Performance Evaluation, to be utilized by all levels of management and staff, Integrate OD also saw the need for proactive identification of individual development opportunities, and linked each resource available to staff members with the competencies sought by the company. Integrate OD also identified critical gaps in the existing development offerings and created and facilitated customized programs to fill those gaps, concerning topics such as Time Management, Goal Setting, and Creative Thinking.
Managers are now better able to create clear development paths for their reports in the process of individual evaluation, while the organization has a method for tracking talent development. The new system has also proven highly valuable for individuals’ career planning, providing a clear correlation between skill-building and advancement for employees at the company. The client organization, a company that thrives on the knowledge and creativity of its individual contributors, now has a system and incentives for raising the level of learning to increase its competitive advantage, in the interest of both employees and the business as a whole.
Organizational Growth and Project Management
The client company’s rapid growth brought about a set of Management challenges for the Leadership team, which initially sought out Integrate OD’s services for Conflict Management coaching. After further conversations, we concluded that the underlying causes for frequent conflicts were insufficient Strategic Planning and Project Management. Integrate OD worked with the founders of the company to refine its vision and set goals towards it. Integrate OD then assessed the core needs of the business as it was hiring new people and acquiring an ever increasing number of large clients, and developed a series of workshops to bring about solutions for efficiency and consistency in the company’s operations, adapting the Client Relationship Cycle framework to illustrate the processes of its services. The seven team coaching sessions included review and revision of all processes involved in the company’s consulting services, including client scoping, needs assessment, contract negotiation, project planning, delegation, teamwork, data analysis and storage, formats for deliverables, and client follow up. Integrate OD and the client then documented and used the ideas generated in these workshops to create a Project Management system, unique to the client’s needs and specifically designed to enhance both internal operations as well as client service. Integrate OD then coached several team members to support their individual progress towards the organization’s new objectives.
As a result, the client organization achieved clarity around its vision and performance goals, and was able to systematically grow its client base and double in size within a year of program completion.
Executive Development
In an effort to establish consistent Leadership standards across divisions of a global financial services firm, Integrate OD conducted thorough learning needs assessment, interviewing key Managing Directors in various divisions, and partnered with specialized consultants to develop unique Training and Development programs, customized to meet the client business’ challenges. Integrate OD also revised existing course offerings to a more consistent and integrated approach, ensuring synergy between program outcomes and reinforcement of Leadership and strategic messages. We then developed a new evaluation system that integrated the performance criteria of all divisions, to measure the correlation between Learning and Development efforts and enhancement of execution. Evaluations showed significant relevance, direct application, and improvement in participants’ effectiveness in related areas of their Leadership roles.
Team and Leadership Effectiveness
As part of a merger integration, Integrate OD designed and delivered a Leadership Development program for the CIO of a major international brokerage firm and his direct reports to enhance team performance and delivery on strategic objectives, including Leadership style assessment and follow up Coaching to support execution. The program served the team in aligning priorities, establishing consistent performance standards, and developing a shared language for collaboration. Through individual Coaching, Managers also constructively addressed individual challenges and conflicts, and enhanced communication and relationship building skills. |
